To celebrate my acceptance to graduate school, Peter treated me to my choice of restaurants in Madison. I choose Maharani Indian Restaurant since we haven't been to a new place in awhile. On the upside, Maharani is just a few blocks from my apartment and halfway to State Street, making it easy for us to meet up with friends afterward, especially since parking in that neighborhood can be challenging.I took my friend Liz to Maharani when she visited from Chicago since we both enjoy
Our food was tasty and promptly served, but nothing extraordinary. Peter's lamb was cold, and I expected my biryani to be spicer than it was. We were slighly uncomfortable with the location of our table, mid-way between the lobby and large seating area. We almost felt like we were in the middle of a hallway. Other than that, the evening was mostly unremarkable.
